[ it's so easy to hear the grin in his voice. ]

[ he picks up the pace, stepping into his pants, and pulling on an undershirt. then, over that, that handsome sweater that tighnari chose for him. ]

[Terrible, terrible man, teasing him like this. Tighnari abruptly realises that he has been so busy watching Cyno getting dressed that he's still standing there in his robe and abruptly begins to pull on his own clothes after letting out a soft 'tch' at himself.

It isn't too cold today, but you should still be careful about catching a chill.

[ tighnari quickly begins to change, and cyno absolutely cannot help the way his mouth curves in a broad, knowing smile. ]

Mm. Gloves. I will.

[ he promises, before he's sitting on the bed to pull on thick socks. he hates them - socks. foot prison. he'd much prefer his usual bared feet, but he'd also prefer not to lose his toes to frostbite. some battles are not worth fighting.

after the socks are on, however, it's his turn to ogle. ]

[He feels Cyno's eyes on him the moment the other man is done getting dressed, and his hands pause in the middle of pulling on his shirt. His tails swish slowly from side to side, then he clears his throat softly and resumes fastening the buttons.

Tighnari is not an exhibitionist, but that doesn't mean he can't pretend that he doesn't see the way Cyno is observing him and give the man a little bit of a show.

So he takes his time, button by button, and at one point cannot help but give the desert-dweller a sidelong glance out of the corner of his eye.]

[ being an exhibitionist is one thing, thoroughly enjoying teasing your significant other is quite another. cyno couldn't imagine wanting to be eyed up by anyone but tighnari, but having those forest-colored eyes on him? excellent. perfect.

and he's more than happy to return the favor. cyno moves to sit at the edge of the bed, leaning back on both hands and watching tighnari with a lazy smile, making no attempt to hide the way his eyes rove. ]

I am, yes.

[ and he's perfectly happy to admit it!! ]

[Cyno! How the man can expect him to get dressed without fumbling when he's saying things like that, and when all he wants to do, more and more, is simply tackle the man to the bed and pull that lovely sweater right off him again. He narrows his eyes in the other man's direction as if he's trying very hard to not show how affected he is when Cyno says things like that to him.]

So you're saying it's my fault, then.

[Half dressed, he plants one hand on his hip and turns his attention fully in Cyno's direction. His voice is chiding, but it's clear he doesn't mean a word of it.]

I would have expected the General Mahamatra to have better self-control.

[ it might sound smooth, but truly cyno is simply being perfectly, completely honest. tighnari is the most beautiful person he knows, the most beautiful person in the world, and cyno isn't afraid to say it out loud.

he crosses both arms, smiling. ]

My self-control is impeccable. I'm simply stating the truth as I see it.

[ stepping forward, he snags tighnari by the wrists, tugging him in closer to kiss him, slow and soft. ]

[And that's a kiss, right there, cutting off his next words as he melts into it and slides his arm over Cyno's shoulder. He digs a hand into his hair and arches his body forwards slightly to press against him, exhaling a soft sigh when their lips part.]

Hmph...

[Well, it isn't as if the General Mahamatra has a reputation for being a liar. He nips at the other man's lower lip reproachfully.]

That's cheating.

[ cyno can't help but smile, a low chuckle rumbling in the back of his throat as he butts their brows together, rubbing his nose alongside tighnari's like a needy cat, arms slipping around his middle. swaying in place, he slides his thumbs along the dip of tighnari's spine. ]

I'm so terribly fond of you, do you know that?

[ fond enough to make his heart ache and twist in his chest. being with tighnari.. it just feels so very right. ]

Mm... you've never made it very difficult to guess.

[The fondness has been there from a very early stage in their relationship and Cyno, with his eccentric personality, has never made it hard to see when he's comfortable around somebody or views them as a friend.]

But I'm glad you can be like this with me.

[ well, he supposes that that isn't wrong. cyno is very, very different with people he cares about, versus strangers or acquaintances or colleagues. his fondness for tighnari had always been obvious, and right now, it's right on his sleeve, his bleeding, aching, loving heart held up in his hands and offered to this smart, beautiful fox.

he's so in love it's disgusting. ]

[ another kiss, this one slow and soft, leisurely, cyno taking his time to savor it. ]

I'm not dressed properly yet.

[Cyno had interrupted him with this sweetness and doting and Tighnari had, of course, fallen straight into it and forgotten entirely about the fact that he hadn't even put any socks on yet.

But still, he's not rushing to pry himself free of the affection currently being lavished on him. Why would he want to?]

If you can bear to part from me for five minutes, then I'll be ready.

[ pulling away from tighnari right now feels like an incredibly difficult prospect. cyno hums, dipping his head to press more kisses along tighnari's jaw, then down the soft curve of his throat, before he finally sighs, and begins to step backward. ]

But if you insist.

I do insist, and you are a menace.

[Such a menace. Imagine if the people under his command knew that he could be like this!

But no, this is something just for Tighnari. Something special and private and just for him. He dresses quickly and rejoins Cyno with a smile, snagging his hand to take him out of the room.]
